Intricate flower arranging is an art within itself, but pair that with architecture and retail design — and with a successful installation you’ve got something spectacular. Japanese Department Store Isetan has opened the doors to its newest store, and Azuma Makoto has created an enticing interior throughout.
Titled “Art of Plants” these detailed works involve structural elements such as pillars, entire walls, glass encasements, suspended shapes and freestanding sculptures all crafted out of plant patterns. Like a more art based vertical garden, these plants have captivated shoppers and added an organic, softer feel to the sleek department shop. Of course all of AMKK’s plant works are amazing, but this integration is absolutely unreal.
